A man who dressed his nephew up and had him carry around what appeared to be a rocket-launcher and then videotaped him outdoors is now facing child endangerment and giving a false impression of a terrorist attack charges.
The man, filmmaker Michael Turley, said he wanted to see how long it would take Phoenix Police to respond after he sent his nephew out into the streets dressed in a costume.
He claims it took police 15 minutes to respond.
Police say both the filmmaker and his nephew are very lucky that no one took the law into their own hands.
Rain at times expected tonight, Friday, and early Saturday. Another fall-like blast of cool weather to follow for the weekend.
Expect unsettled weather through Saturday morning as waves of showers and thunderstorms move through the area. Some of the storms may bring heavy downpours later this afternoon.
It's still muggy out there. Things start to change tomorrow afternoon, as the rain clears out, and much cooler air moves in making it feel more like fall. Sunday is nice with a cool breeze and unseasonably low temperatures which last though early next week.
