Broken Drain Pipe Causes Major Headache For Bucks Co. Homeowner

Navigating your way down Chelsea Williams' driveway in Dublin Borough can be difficult these days. A broken drain pipe and white water-like runoff from rain storms has left her driveway a disaster for a year now.

"The one hole actually went up to my knee it's so deep," Williams explained.

Williams claims a broken pipe on a Borough owned right of way is to blame for the water that has caused foot deep ruts up and down her driveway.   She even put together a video and posted it on Facebook trying to get the borough's help. She says months of calls to Borough Hall have drained her patience.

"They said they'd look into it and we haven't heard anything since," Williams added.

"A tidal wave," is the way Chris Deon described the runoff. He owns the beer distributorship just across Mill Street from William's driveway. He says the runoff is causing problems for his business too..

"It's just like a river running through here," Deon said.

Deon says a video pipe inspection company has been in the area for weeks now inspecting sewer lines. He's hoping they take a look at this problem and help the borough solve it.

"I'll give the borough credit for working on it," he said. What the resolution will be, I don't know."

We went to borough hall looking for answers and were told no one could comment because it's under investigation by the borough solicitor. Chelsea Williams has a simple solution in mind.

'I'd be happy if they would just fix it," Williams added. "I mean it's literally just getting worse and the longer they ignore it , it's just going to be a bigger problem."

Fox 29 called the borough solicitor trying to get some answers about this problem. He did not return our calls.
