DLECTRICITY is a light and video festival that will take over Midtown -- one of Detroit's fastest growing neighborhoods.
"There is going to be 36 sites. All of them have very interesting and unique installations that will be there from both local artists, national artists," said Sue Mosey with Midtown Detroit Inc.
"Just to be able to walk around and have all this visual energy, the light exhibits all over the different buildings in Midtown, it kind of gets people excited," said George Nnamdi from the Nnamdi Center for Contemporary Art.

Major art institutions such as the Detroit Institute of Arts are playing a big part in the show. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is celebrating DLECTRICITY by projecting the "Cirque de la Symphonie" on their south wall.
Every exhibit serves as an interactive reminder of the excitement within the city.
"We thought this was a great thing for Detroit. We thought this was timely for Midtown given the great building facades, given all the revitalization we're doing in a lot of these empty buildings here that are also backdrops, many of them, for some of the DLECTRICITY arts events," Mosey said.
"It mixes art and technology. I think that's a lot of what makes up Midtown. I think that's a lot of where Midtown's going."
DLECTRICITY happens on Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
