Police: Couple Admits To 19 Burglaries In Bucks County, Philly

Posted: Updated:

Bensalem Police say they have arrested two suspects who admitted to being involved in 19 burglaries throughout at least four municipalities in Bucks County and at least one in Philadelphia.

Police say they arrested 34-year-old Martin Fritsch and 46-year-old Catherine Antkowiak Sunday.

Police say they responded to a home on Bensalem Boulevard after a resident called to say someone was forcing their way inside.

The two suspects were taken into custody a short distance from the home.

Investigators say they later learned Antkowiak would knock at doors to see if anyone was home and if there was no response at the door, Fritsch would then try to get inside through an unlocked rear window or door.

Police say on some occasions, Fritsch would smash through windows or pry a window or door frame.

The couple was apparently after jewelry, cash and small electronics, according to police.
