2 Casino Trolley Riders Accused Of Fraud Due In Court

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Two trolley passengers accused of insurance fraud are expected in court Thursday.

FOX 29 Investigates first broke the story in an exclusive report.

Nine riders face felony charges after the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office says they filed bogus claims with the trolley's insurance company.

Back in May, the trolley clipped mirrors with a SEPTA bus. It was all captured on tape.

Passengers appeared to just sway in their seats, but the nine claimed they were injured.

The D.A.'s office prosecuted after seeing the tape and investigating.
