Investigators say three teachers and two administrators who work at Triton Regional High School were arrested.
Camden County Prosecutors say Catherine DePaul covered three teachers accused of having sex with students.
CAMDEN, N.J. -
The Camden County Prosecutors Office says three teachers have been accused of having sex with students - all under the protection of the principal and a vice principal of a New Jersey High School.
Fox 29's Claudia Gomez reports it started in November of last year at the Triton Regional High School, where investigators say three male teachers each began what are described as intimate relationships with three female students.
Investigators say the students were seniors.
The contact included a trip down the shore for one couple and plenty of texting.
Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk won't say whether any of the teachers got physical with the students on school grounds, but he did say the teachers received cover from principal Catherine DePaul, 55, and a vice principal.
When a substitute teacher warned them what was going on, the prosecutor says they conducted a "half-hearted and inadequate inquiry" that was aimed at protecting the teachers and covering up their relationships with the students.
Nick Martinelli, 28, faces an official misconduct charge because the student prosecutors say he was involved with is 18-years-old.
But the other two teachers, Jeff Logrando and Dan Michielli, are both facing charges for criminal sexual misconduct because the students they're accused of becoming involved with were only 17.
Investigators say both the principal and the vice principal were suspended Wednesday and face charges related to misconduct, for not reporting the allegations to police.
Before the principal left her job, she suspended the three teachers at the start of this school year.

The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. The difference is that it will really warm up -- temperatures soar into the 80s by Tuesday. That mild and humid air mass will fuel afternoon thunderstorms.
