Police in Upper Chichester Township are investigating the attack on a 95-year-old woman in her own home.
Police say two men pretending to be inspectors for water contamination walked up to the woman's home, told her to sit on a bucket in the basement and watch the water drip while they worked.
As the woman watched the water, police say the two men gathered money and jewelry from her home.
When the woman got suspicious, police say one of the men grabbed her by her neck and told her that if she came back upstairs or moved from the bucket they would kill her.
The woman managed to break away and get to a neighbor for help.
With police still searching for the suspects, other neighbors tell Fox 29 reporter Dave Kinchen they are concerned.
