Delaware State Police say one person has died from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident on Interstate 95 this afternoon.
Police say that the driver, Michelle Johnson, 34 of Claymont, was ejected from the 1999 Honda Passport she was driving in the northbound lanes near Marsh Rd in Wilmington. The accident happened just after 12 p.m. The vehicle's right rear tire tread separated from the tire, causing Johnson to lose control of the vehicle.
The vehicle rolled over several times and cause Johnson to be ejected from the vehicle. The preliminary investigation by State Police reveals that none of the occupants were restrained in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
The other occupants of the vehicle, four juveniles and a 20 year old woman, were taken to the hospital. Only a two year old boy remains at admitted in a hospital for injuries. The boy is listed in serious condition at AI Dupont Hospital.
The northbound lanes of Interstate 95 were closed for three hours.

It was a gloomy Sunday as the whole area remain socked in with low clouds & fog, drizzle and scattered showers.
The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. The difference is that it will really warm up -- temperatures soar into the 80s by Tuesday. That mild and humid air mass will fuel afternoon thunderstorms.
By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain. It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
