CAMDEN, N.J. -

Authorities in Camden say they are narrowing down possible causes for a shooting that killed two people and hurt three others, noting that it's not believed to be a random act of violence.

According to Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk and Camden Police Chief Scott Thomson said in a news release Monday morning that investigators are making progress Monday in the shooting case.

According to investigators, the shooter knew at least one of the victims. Police say they have not yet identified the shooter.

The gunman opened fire on a parked car in Camden late at night over the weekend.

According to prosecutors, 18-year-old Jewel Manire and 20-year-old Khalil Gibson died.

A 16-year-old girl was critically injured with a gunshot wound to the head and a 20-year-old woman was shot in the face. Police say another 16-year-old girl was shot in the arm and shoulder.

The shooting happened at Morgan Boulevard and Olive Street.

The gunman also carried a machete while carrying out the attack.

Police ask that you call the Camden County Prosecutor's Office at 856-365-3239 with any information.
