SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -

Solebury Township officials are warning residents of a suspected child luring incident in North Pointe along Kitchens Lane.

According to the township's website, an 11-year-old boy was walking with his dog when a black van pulled up to the curb Monday around 10 a.m.

Two men inside the vehicle told the boy they were looking for their puppy, according to the township, and asked if the child would help them. The suspects apparently offered the child candy.

The township says the boy refused and walked in the opposite direction of the van.

The township describes the suspects as being in their 20s with light to medium skin. Both had dark hair over their ears and were wearing dirty clothes.

The township says the van was black in color, clean and appeared to be newer.

The boy told investigators he had never seen the van before.

The township is asking residents to report any suspicious encounters to the Solebury Township Police Department.
