A New Jersey guy goes all out to treat his neighborhood to frightfully good time at Halloween.
But, this year, he was told his display is too dangerous.
David Newman has been decorating his house at the corner of Hopewell and Raymond streets in Evesham Township for 25 years.
For the first time, though, he says someone called police claiming his incredible display and his dancing routine is a distraction.
"It's almost bringing me to tears because I was upset. I was so upset last night I just went to my room laid down. I just couldn't believe it," Newman said.
His daughter, Ashley, told us, "It was the first time I've really seen him hurt like that. He does it to put smiles on kids', adults', everybody's faces, and it just hurt me see him like that."
"I would fight that as hard as you can. You guys are great," said one passing motorist, while others honked their car horns in support.
Neighbors are now rallying in support, and Newman says he won't give up the fight. He says he will be out doing his spooky dance from noon to dusk every day.
And, come Oct. 31, he expects about 500 kids at his door – that's about how many trick-or-treaters he gets every year.

Not the prettiest Friday, but we're ready for a great weekend. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. After an early high in the upper sixties, temperatures fall & winds pick up out of the chillier northwest. Right now the Memorial Day Weekend looks sunny and cool with highs in the low to mid 60s on Saturday, in the 70s Sunday & Monday. Cooler temps at the shore.
