EVESHAM TWP, N.J. -

Police in Evesham say they executed a search warrant on the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run collision from earlier this week, but say they still are not sure where the victim is or where the incident even happened.

According to police, forensic evidence was recovered from the vehicle after the search Friday. Police say the evidence is now being delivered to the New Jersey State Police laboratory for analysis.

Police say they have used ATV patrols, canines, heat cameras and even helicopters in their search.

The department says it's working closely with New Jersey State Police, Cherry Hill Police and surrounding law enforcement agencies in their investigation.

The search began after a car was pulled over Tuesday night along East Main Street near Knox Boulevard in Marlton, New Jersey.

Police say officers noticed significant damage to the car's front passenger section that was consistent with it hitting a person.

The driver, an 81-year-old Cherry Hill resident, recalled hitting something but wasn't sure what.

If you have any information, you're asked to call police at 856-983-1116.
