LANSDALE, Pa. -

A man accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint while she was in her car may have gotten away if only he hadn't been walking down the same street the robbery occurred.

Lansdale Police say it happened around 9 p.m. on the unit block of Jenkins Avenue Saturday when a 30-year-old woman pulled her car into the parking lot of a closed business.

Police say a man in a gray-hooded sweatshirt reached into her car window and put a gun to her head.

Police say the suspect demanded money, then demanded cigarettes and took off.

Officers searched the area until a co-worker reported seeing the suspect walking down Jenkins Avenue.

When officers caught up to the suspect, he began to run.

Police say he was eventually tased after being uncooperative with officers and taken into custody.

Police have identified the suspect as 40-year-old Stacy Beckett.
