Lockdown Lifted At 2 Camden County Schools

Posted: Updated:
CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. -

A lockdown put into effect at two Camden County schools has been lifted.

Officials say the Albert Bean Elementary School in the Pine Hill School District and the Clementon Elementary School in the Clementon School District were both placed on lockdown Wednesday morning as police searched for a suspect.

A message posted earlier on the Clementon School District website said the school was advised to go on what's called a "Tier 1" lockdown Tuesday morning by Clementon Police.

"This morning we were advised by the Clementon Police Department that an incident was occurring outside of the school and advised us to go into our tier 1 lockdown procedures," the message read.

"Everything is functioning as usual within the building and everyone is safe. Nobody is permitted in or out of the building."
