The results of a toxicology test performed on the body of Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid's son, Garrett, will be announced Thursday.
Many had speculated that the 29-year-old died from a drug overdose when he was found dead on Aug. 5 in a dorm room at Lehigh University, during the Eagles' training camp.
The Northampton County District Attorney is holding a press conference Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. to release details around the death.
Garrett's funeral drew NFL royalty from around the country. The resounding theme seemed to be family and faith, the rock that the Reids leaned on during that dark time and will undoubtedly lean on Thursday.
The Reids released a statement: "Garrett's road through life was not always an easy one. He faced tremendous personal challenges with bravery and spirit. As a family, we stood by him and were inspired as he worked to overcome those challenges."
"Even though he lost the battle that has been ongoing for the last eight years, we will always remember him as a fighter who had a huge, loving heart….It is in times like these that we lean on our faith, our family, our friends, and our Eagles family. We will do so in the difficult times ahead."
We will find out today if Garrett did indeed lose his battle because of those personal demons. The DA will release those details at 2 p.m.
FOX 29's Stephanie Esposito has more details on the announcement in this video report.

An armed deli robbery is caught on camera. Two brazen gunmen held up the store owner with the man's kids right nearby. It's scary enough having armed gunmen storm your business.
