PHILADELPHIA -
Here's an update on the birth of a baby on a busy SEPTA train earlier this week in North Philadelphia.
Photos were snapped by a witness just moments after the baby boy made his debut into the world.
We talked to a SEPTA employee Takisha Ward and transit SEPTA Transit Police Officer Loyd Rodgers, who helped the new mom.
Both said the woman felt a contraction on the train and needed to push. She had been on the way to the OB/GYN's office.
"She was brave. She didn't curse. She was like, 'Oh my God.' I was like, 'Oh my God, you're so brave. She wasn't crying. She wasn't in pain or anything. ... The ambulance came, and they cut the cord, and that was it."
Loyd said there were "no signs of pain, no signs of discomfort."
"And it was almost as if the baby was able to pick up her personality. It was just so quiet. The baby never cried during that whole incident," Loyd said. "he's a SEPTA hall-of-famer, no doubt about it."
The baby and mom are doing just fine. They went over to Albert Einstein Medical Center.
