A 29-year-old Philadelphia man pleaded guilty Wednesday to pointing a laser at SkyFOX over the summer.
U.S. Attorney Zane David Memeger says Daniel F. Dangler pleaded guilty to aiming the laser at an aircraft in the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States.
Dangler allegedly aimed the laser at SkyFOX on July 18. He is scheduled to be sentenced in January.
Authorities say lasers pointed at an aircraft can be a significant distraction to pilots and can cause temporary blindness.
Video from SkyFOX at the time showed the laser coming from an area of the Tacony neighborhood.
