Police: Woman Sleeping In Bed Wakes Up To Burglar Touching Her

NEWARK, Del. -

Police in Newark are searching for the man who touched the leg of a woman while she was sleeping during a burglary.

Newark Police say it happened just before 4 a.m. Friday morning at a home on the 100 block of South Chapel Street.

A 22-year-old woman told police she was sleeping in her bedroom only to wake up and find the man touching her leg.

When she woke up, police say the burglar took off.

Police describe the suspect as a man with a large build who was seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt that was pulled over his head.

It's not clear how the suspect entered the home.
