The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Burlington Avenue. The suspect entered the store armed with a handgun. There were no customers at the time of the incident. One of the two workers in the store was struck in the head after the suspect jumped on the counter inside, but was not injured.
The suspect fled after taking an unknown amount of cash from the register and fled from the store.
There were numerous Burlington County authorities that assisted in the search for the suspect, including Delanco, Riverside, and Edgewater Park.
Police describe the suspect as a light skinned black male, approximately six feet tall and had a thin build. He had a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood covering his head and a white mask over his mouth and nose.
