SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - We now know the World Series begins Wednesday night in San Francisco. And for the adventurous Tigers fan, the opportunity to be at Game 1 is still out there.

Tickets for Game 1 are available on secondary market web sites like StubHub with prices starting at $429 for standing room only. Want a seat? Bleacher seats start at $450.

But before you can take in the view of the bay from AT&T Park, you'll need to get to San Fran. We found roundtrip tickets on Kayak.com that will fly you out today and get you home Friday for around $394. Need a hotel? According to Hotels.com, rooms at the Travelodge near the ballpark are going for $76-$84 a night.

All together, you're looking at shelling out nearly $1,000 to part of the action.

Remember, fans should always be careful when buying tickets on the secondary market. The Better Business Bureau of Detroit & Eastern Michigan is warning sports fans to be alert for scammers selling bogus tickets or hotel reservations.

Click here for tips from the BBB on purchasing tickets.

Note: Prices are subject to change throughout the day.
