Philly Man Accused Of Stealing Thousands In Uncirculated Cash From Plane

PHILADELPHIA -
A Philadelphia man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly stealing $20,000 worth of uncirculated cash from an airplane that was supposed to transport the money to the United States Federal Reserve in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
According to the United States Attorney, Alex Price, 25, was arrested by agents with the FBI.
Investigators say Price was a baggage handler for US Airways.
According to court documents, Price was working at the airport on October 12 when the plane arrived from Dallas.
Investigators say the theft occurred in the afternoon at 2 p.m. the same day.
The money wasn't reported stolen until it arrived at the Federal Reserve.
The U.S. Attorney says the money was recovered.
Price is scheduled to make his first court appearance Wednesday.
