CLAYTON, N.J. -

Only Fox 29 cameras were there when two teenage boys, a lawyer and family members  arrived at the Prosecutor's Office in downtown Woodbury, New Jersey.

Within minutes, both of the boys were in handcuffs and being lead away by detectives to be questioned in the death of 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale.

"It's just sad," said one neighbor.

Back in Clayton,  the family of the young girl carried teddy bears to the yard where her body was found overnight, grief and fear spread through the neighborhood.

"Across the street from my house," said neighbor Joyce Fisher, "What is your reaction," she was asked. "I'm scared, it's devastating. It's unnerving."

"You think never in your town, never this close to home and it's scary," said Jessica Dempster.

"I'm even scared to go myself out with my kids around the block," another one of Autumn's neighbors said.

Autumn's  body was found in a recycling bin put out at the curb Monday night at this home on East Clayton Avenue. Crime scene investigators could be seen removing Autumn's white BMX bike from the home. It's  the bike she was riding when she disappeared on Saturday touching off a massive search that ended a few blocks from her home and police headquarters.

"It's scary thinking who, why and what could have been so bad . It's just awful," Dempster added.

"It's scary, it's frightening, you feel unnerved. You know everything's shattered," Fisher said.

At a news conference Tuesday morning the girls' uncle mourned the loss of a young girl gone way too soon.

"She was an angel here on earth and she's an angel up in heaven. Out of evil will come good, goodness conquers evil," Frank Spadafora said fighting back tears.
