Seven wind turbines were installed Thursday morning on the North side of the stadium.
Stadium officials say the turbines, along with solar panels are part of a three-year project.
Combined with the wind and solar panels, the turbines are expected to operate about 30 percent of the stadium's energy needs.
The system is expected to run at the end of December, but stadium officials hope they can have it running by mid-December.
Today's weather? Cloudy, muggy, and eventually, stormy. If you get a strong to severe storm, it would probably be lat afternoon and evening. Highs in the upper 70s. Some of the storms will produce locally heavy rain and gusty winds.
This system is from the same cold front that caused the midwest tornadoes. It will also usher in cooler air for the holiday weekend.
