Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean Dalton said "we had a good meeting and we're moving forward with the prosecution" Thursday after spending the afternoon with the family of 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale.
On Friday, Autumn's two alleged killers, seen here in exclusive Fox 29 video during their arrest, will face a juvenile court hearing on first degree murder charges.
"We wanted to assure them we're moving forward," Dalton said. "That we're 100 percent behind them in making sure justice is done."
Dalton's private meeting also came a day after Autumn's parents and uncle took issue with how the police search for Autumn was conducted in the hours after her disappearance was reported to police on Saturday night.
"Law enforcement poured their heart and soul into this investigation," Dalton explained.
"I couldn't be prouder of these individuals for the job that they've done over such difficult circumstances."
Fifteen-year-old Justin Robinson and his 17-year-old brother, Dante, are charged with beating and strangling Autumn to death after she was lured to their house to discuss a BMX bike.
Published reports say there was an exchange on Facebook between Autumn and Justin days before the murder about the BMX bike. "Tht's sexy," the Inquirer reported as Autumn's response to Justin concerning a new bike he claimed he had.
Justin later told the 12-year-old to come to his house. Last Saturday, she did and days later her body was found in a recycling bin there. Her bike, clothes and backpack were recovered inside the house.
As far as commenting on any specific piece of evidence, I can't do that at this point," Dalton added.
Meanwhile mourners continued to place flowers and teddy bears at the murder scene.
The mother of the two boys remained held up inside the home, refusing to answer the door. A few blocks away, Autumn's family was making funeral arrangements for Saturday.
No one from the family spoke to the media, a day after claiming there was a delay in search efforts for their daughter.
"We want the focus to be on Autumn and her family and making sure the healing can begin to take place," Dalton said. "We remember Autumn for the beautiful young girl that she was and we don't want to see any other acts of violence."
The Robinson brothers will have a court hearing Friday in Woodbury at 11 a.m. The detention hearing is for a judge to decide if they should stay behind bars during the investigation or be released into their parents custody.
Dalton says his office will demand that the suspects remain behind bars.
No decision has been made on whether the teenagers will be tried as adults.

Not the prettiest Friday, but we're ready for a great weekend. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. After an early high in the upper sixties, temperatures fall & winds pick up out of the chillier northwest. Right now the Memorial Day Weekend looks sunny and cool with highs in the low to mid 60s on Saturday, in the 70s Sunday & Monday. Cooler temps at the shore.
