In Rehoboth Beach, Things Look A Lot Different In The Daylight

Posted: Updated:
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. -

Riding along with members of the Delaware National Guard, Fox 29's Dave Kinchen got a birds eye view of the damage to Rehoboth Beach.

The Delaware National Guard surveyed the damage via helicopter Tuesday, one day after Sandy slammed into the area.

The view from the National Guard Blackhawk helicopters showed significant damage, including homes submerged or partially submerged in water and heavy flooding along area roads.

Delaware Gov. Jack Markell took a similar helicopter tour to get a first-hand look at the damage caused by the storm.

Gov. Markell says the situation could have been a lot worse.

You can watch Dave Kinchen's report in the video above.
