GLOUCESTER COUNTY, N.J. -

Prosecutors in Gloucester County are seeking to charge two teens accused of murdering 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale as adults.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office announced Thursday their plans to apply to the Family Court for the transfer of the two teens accused in the murder of the 12-year-old Clayton, New Jersey girl.

"It is the State's position, based upon the gravity of the juveniles actions in causing the death of Autumn Pasquale, that these cases should be heard in adult court," Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean F. Dalton said in a statement.

The two teens, who are 15 and 17-years of age, were charged on October 23 with the strangulation of Pasquale, prosecutors said.

FOX 29 cameras were the only ones to capture video of the two teens as they were escorted to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.

Pasquale went missing from her home on October 20. After a massive search, her body was found stuffed in a recycling bin behind a home in Clayton the night of October 22.

Investigators say more than 200 law enforcement members at the local, state and federal level were involved in the search.

Prosecutors say the two are charged with first-second degree murder, illegally disposing of a body, tampering with evidence and other charges.

If convicted as adults, prosecutors say they could face at least 30-years in prison.
