Report: 65 Percent Of NJ Gas Stations Not Operating

Posted: Updated:

There's a surprising number of gas stations still shut down in New Jersey.

The Wall Street Journal reports 65 percent of the state's gas stations aren't operating right now.

And, as FOX's Brenda Flanagan reports, that's causing long lines at the stations that are open.

Gas lines stretched for miles headed for New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway plazas. Lines of cars clogged commuter routes like Route 3 in Clifton. And in Elmwood Park, people waited and waited and waited on line, Flanagan reported.
