Reopening Of Atlantic City Casinos Too Soon For Some

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

Little by little, New Jersey residents are getting help.

You no longer need to boil water in Atlantic City.

And Gov. Chris Christie established a hotline for people who left their pets behind when Sandy forced them out.

This afternoon the governor spoke about the progress, saying, "We're inching closer to normalcy here in New Jersey each day, and that's our focus. But there's some things we need to get done in the interim. For instance this morning we opened up Atlantic City again and we opened up the casinos."

And the casinos opening is what has a lot of Atlantic City residents upset. Some say it is in bad taste when homeowners are still trying to get in to see their homes for the first time.

FOX 29's Claudia Gomez was live in Atlantic City on Friday night with more on the debate.
