Troy Mayor Janice Daniels faces recall vote

Posted: Updated:

Opponents of Troy Mayor Janice Daniels say she has insulted homosexuals, lashed out at members of the city council and tried to block city improvements.

On Tuesday voters will decide if she should be recalled.

Fox 2's Roop Raj takes a closer look at the controversy brewing over the Tea Party mayor who has only been in office for one year.

Shortly after she was elected, she drew criticism for writing a Facebook post  that stated, "I think I am going to throw away my I Love New York carrying bag now that queers can get married there."

Two Troy residents, John Kulesz and Matt Binkowski, garnered enough signatures to get Daniels' name on the ballot for recall.
