PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia police say they have made an arrest in the case where a woman was sexually assaulted while riding a SEPTA bus.

According to police, Henry Dixon, 53, was taken into custody on Tuesday.

Police say he is accused of walking onto a bus at midnight on Oct. 24, sitting next to a 19-year-old woman and then sexually assaulting her.

Police say when the woman exited the bus at Greene Street and Chelten Avenue, Dixon allegedly followed her to the 5500 block of Greene Street and pulled her into an alley.

The woman managed to escape, police say.

Video surveillance of the suspect was released by police Monday. Investigators say within hours they received several anonymous tips that helped them to identify Dixon as their suspect.
