Streets In Ocean City Covered By Flood Water For Second Time In 2 Weeks

OCEAN CITY, N.J. -

Streets in Ocean City that were barely dry from Hurricane Sandy more than a week ago are now under water all over again as a new storm made its way into the area.

Residents of Ocean City, New Jersey are getting hit with severe weather two weeks in a row.

Homes along the bay in Ocean City took a pounding from Sandy's high winds and surf and just as hurricane victims are coming to grips with what happened, they're now faced with the new storm.

As the snow fell along Pleasure Avenue at the bay, trash crews were still removing the wreckage from Sandy. High tides from the latest storm are expected to just make matters worse.

One resident tells FOX 29 reporter Dave Schratwieser that it's just the price you pay for enjoying a drink on the deck in the summer.

On the north end of Ocean City, geotubes designed to stop erosion and prevent flooding were fully exposed.

The dunes that work crews have spent days rebuilding were already getting hammered.

Two to three feet of sand from Sandy still covers some ocean front properties as the nor'easter promised to bring even more.

One resident says you just have to take things in stride.
