PHILADELPHIA -
The City of Philadelphia unveiled its first mural Monday that was designed, created and dedicated to post 9/11 veterans.
The mural, which can be seen on the 4100 block of Woodland Ave. West, was designed and painted by muralists Phillip Adams and Willis Humphrey as part of the "Our City, Our Vets" project.
The mural was named "Communion between a rock and a hard place."
Organizers say the project aims to bring veterans into a conversation with community members to share stories and build a better network for troops who are returning home.
The project was funded by the City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
