Federal authorities say two New Jersey women have admitted to defrauding a charity out of more than $7 million in donated HIV and cancer medications.
New Jersey's U. S. attorney says the women pleaded guilty to stealing from the charity by using their access to a company hired to administer the program.
Forty-seven year-old Keisha Jackson of Perth Amboy and 26-year-old Jameshia Bryant of South River entered their guilty pleas Tuesday in Trenton.
Bryant is accused of entering approximately 950 fraudulent computer orders so that medicines that could be resold at a profit were delivered to Jackson's home and other addresses involved in the scheme.
Each pleaded to a count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud, which carries a maximum 20-year prison sentence. Both are scheduled for sentencing in February..
