Three illegal immigrants were arrested after over $200,000 worth of marijuana was found in their car on Monday, according to Pima County Sheriff's office.
Deputies say Mario A. Cazares-Cazares, 43, Francisco G. Ortega-Pinto, 23, and Obeth R. Aldaco-Pinuelos, 19, admitted to being in the Unites States illegally after they were caught near the I-8 and I-10.
PCSO said Aldaco-Pinuelos originally gave a fake birth date but Border Patrol helped them identify him as an adult had been detained and deported five times in the last two years.
PSCO received a call from a citizen who said they saw three men loading what looked like marijuana into a vehicle near Casa Grande. Deputies spotted the car described by the caller. The driver was speeding and deputies found out the registered owner didn't have a valid driver's license.
As deputies tried to pull the car over, it sped away. The driver stopped suddenly and all three men bailed out of the car and ran into the desert.
Deputies quickly found all three suspects. Inside of the car, deputies also found 10 packaged bundles of marijuana, weighing about 270 pounds.
All three men were taken into custody and face charges of possession of marijuana for sale and transportation of marijuana.
