The Tanger Outlets are opening their doors for the first time on Thursday at Westgate.
The new center could make you feel like you're living in a material world. The Tanger Outlets are expected to draw 5 million people living within a 60 mile radius every single year.
Maybe thats why it only took the City of Glendale two days to approve this project.
"Time is money in development community. We wanted to get them in the door quickly so they could get open and have another shopping venue in the west valley," said Jon Froke, with the City of Glendale.
The City of Glendale is estimating Tanger will bring in $21.5 million in sales tax revenue; they'll use that money to help keep the city running.
"The sales tax goes into the city general fund, which is our bank account, help fund city services that our residents expect, sanitation, police and fire services," said Froke.
They also hope to bring more people to the Westgate area in general because it tends to be pretty quiet when there aren't any games or concerts.
Tanger is proud to call celebrity Vanessa Lachey their "fashion authority." She'll be at celebration for a meet and greet at 11:30 a.m.
There is a large range of stores at the outlets tailored to fit every budget.
Shoppers can look forward to stores like Brooks Brothers Factory, J Crew Factory, Banana Republic Factory, Michael Kors, Nike Factory, Coach Factory, H&M and American Eagle.
