
A truck hit and killed a pedestrian off Highway 60 on Monday.
Pinal County Sheriff's deputies say 29-year-old Matthew Hydock was driving a commercial truck and trailer when he hit 47-year-old Elaine Romero.
After investigating, deputies found that Romero ran or walked in front of Hydock's truck with out a crosswalk or intersection. She died at the scene from massive injuries.
Witnesses said Romero walked in front of the truck without warning anyone and was intoxicated when she was hit.
Deputies also found out Hydock was impaired by marijuana and pain medication when he collided with Romero.
No arrest has been made and charges are pending the results of Hydock's blood test.
