WHY, Ariz. -

A Chevy Tahoe found abandoned in the desert on Thursday was packed with 1,490 pounds of marijuana.

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents patrolling the desert east of Why, Ariz. came upon the Tahoe parked in large thicket off Federal Route 7.

It contained 66 bundles of marijuana, valued at $745,000.

The SUV had been reported stolen out of Nevada.

Agents were unable to locate anyone who had been involved in transporting the drugs. They may have abandoned the load for fear of being arrested.

Why, Ariz. is about 30 miles north of the border.
