NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Del. -

Police in New Castle County say they have arrested eight suspects in connection to more than a dozen burglaries in the Claymont and Wilmington areas going back to the beginning of July.

According to New Castle County Police, the eight suspects were arrested after a months long investigation that included county and Delaware State Police investigators.

Police say a break in the case allowed them to identify eight "associates" who were allegedly involved in the 13 burglaries.

In the burglaries, police say the suspects took jewelry, money and small electronics from homes.

Some of the items have since been recovered by police.

Police say four men and four women, as young as 22 and as old as 36 were all arrested in connection to the crimes.
