ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- Emergency financial manager Joyce Parker is expected to meet with Allen Park residents to discuss the city's priorities.

A town hall meeting is scheduled Tuesday evening in the city's Performing Arts Center.

Allen Park officials earlier this year asked the state to do a preliminary review of its finances. Gov. Rick Snyder placed Parker over Allen Park's finances last month.

Parker is expected to answer questions about her role and steps she plans to take to help turn things around. Residents will be asked what city services are most important to them.

Benton Harbor, Pontiac, Ecorse and Flint are other cities with state-appointed managers. Public school districts in Detroit, Highland Park and Muskegon Heights also have managers.
