DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -
A child is at least one of the victims of a fatal crash in Doylestown Wednesday night.
Authorities in suburban Philadelphia say a child was killed and three other people seriously injured in a crash.
Emergency dispatchers in Bucks County say the two-vehicle accident was reported at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday on the Route 611 northbound bypass in Doylestown Township.
Lt. Matt O'Connor of Doylestown Township police said a preliminary investigation indicates that one northbound car apparently struck another from behind.
The driver and passenger of the first car were taken to Abington Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. He said the driver of the second car was flown to Temple University Hospital with very serious injuries.
O'Connor said a 10-year-old Pipersville girl from the second car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The names of the victims were not immediately released.
