Well, well-- congratulations to the Michigan State Spartans after the team took down Minnesota 26-10 to get bowl eligible. This has been a tough road for the Green and White this season after starting off with such high hopes and then getting a cold dose of reality, but with the win at the end of the season, it's got to give the program and the seniors a lift. Now we don't know where MSU will go---- if they go at all, but if the Spartans do make the post season there are benefits... like all of the extra practice time that the coaching staff will have!! That extra time can do wonders for QB Andrew Maxwell and it can also benefit the younger players on the team develop further. The Bowl season also allows Le'Veon Bell another chance to sparkle on a national stage, and if he's anything like his 35 carry, 266 yard effort vs. Minnesota then the Spartans opponent will have it's hands full! I, like Spartans fans, am very eager to see if the squad can erase some of the sting of not defending the Big 10 title-- all we have to do now is wait to see which opponent draws the short straw.
