Do your neighbors have their Christmas lights up? Do you have lights envy? Are all of your lights in a jumble inside a box?
FOX 10's Kristy Siefkin caught up with a group of professional light decorators to get tips and tricks on how to make an impact with Christmas lights:
- If you're hanging lights around a wooden door or window frame, use a staple gun
- If you're trying to hang lights on stucco, use a hot glue gun to tack them up
- When you take down the lights, you may see residue from the glue gun spot. You can take that off with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
- To make the biggest impact, avoid using too many different types or colors of lights. Keeping things uniform, but adding small differences in shape and color make a bigger impact.
- Since most Arizona roofs are horizontal, adding something vertical to your roof also makes an impact.
