Two elderly people are dead after a fire in West Oak Lane.
It happened at 3 a.m. on the 6300 block of North Beechwood Street.
Officials say an elderly man was taken to the hospital where he later died. An elderly woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Firefighters say it started on the second floor of the home, and the smoke alarms were not working.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
This brings the total number of fire fatalities to 23.
