Ocean County Marine Dies In Afghanistan

THe Department of Defense has announced that a local Marine has died while serving in Afghanistan supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Cpl. Christopher M. Monahan Jr., 25, of Island Heights, N.J., died on November 26 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
