A major crystal meth trafficking ring has been busted by agents from several Pennsylvania agencies.
"Operation Blowout" used surveillance, wire-taps, and approximately 30 undercover agents from various agencies in the state of Pennsylvania.
According to the grand jury, the ringleaders of the operation had connection on the US/Mexico border. The drugs made thier way up to Tioga, Berks, and Bucks County.
The drugs were then distributed throughout the three counties and beyond.
Over the course of the investigation, investigators seized four pounds of meth, one partially dismantled meth lab, nearly 100 firearms, over $100,000 in cash and 16 vehicles.
Between 2007 and 2011, the organization may have been responsible for over $3.5 million in sales.
Not the prettiest Friday, but we're ready for a great weekend. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. After an early high in the upper sixties, temperatures fall & winds pick up out of the chillier northwest. Right now the Memorial Day Weekend looks sunny and cool with highs in the low to mid 60s on Saturday, in the 70s Sunday & Monday. Cooler temps at the shore.
Have fun!
