Grieving Mom Waits Months For Memorial Plaque To Arrive To Honor Baby Girl

Posted: Updated:
POTTSTOWN, Pa. -

A grieving mother who wants desperately to pay tribute to her baby girl says the one thing she needs for the upcoming birthday anniversary hasn't arrived yet.

Brittany Bradley lost her baby girl nearly a year ago. Bailey died on December 28, 2011 just three weeks after she was born.

About a month later, Bradley tells FOX 29's Lauren Cohn she ordered a memorial plaque to place on her daughter's gravesite at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in Pottstown.

She says she paid "Lifestone By Stefan" $640 for it and she's heartbroken that it's still not here.

Bradley says she paid for the plaque in three installments and on July 24th, she says she received an email with the sketch of the plaque.

She says she was told it would be ready in 8-10 weeks.

FOX 29 contacted the company and the owner, Greg Stefan, told us by phone that the plaque has been at the manufacturer in Pittsburgh because the family didn't pay the $248 installation fee to the cemetery.

But Bradley says she was told by cemetery officials she could pay that fee once the plaque arrived.

Cynthia Rice of the cemetery tells FOX 29 she told the family it could pay the installation fee once the plaque arrived.

The owner now tells FOX 29 that the memorial plaque has been shipped.

You can watch Lauren Cohn's story in the video above.
