A 41-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in Camden County, after the Camden County prosecutor says he allegedly videotaped students and teachers in a Gloucester school.
According to Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk, former Gloucester Catholic High School chief custodian John Martin was arrested and charged on a count of 3rd degree Invasion of Privacy.
Martin is accused of directing the installation of hidden video cameras throughout the high school, which investigators say recorded individuals in various stages of undress and activity.
According to the prosecutor's office, the pinhole-size cameras were placed in eight separate rooms, including classrooms and the school's choir room, weight room, backstage area, maintenance facilities and the football area.
Investigators say most of the images and recordings are of female students and teachers. The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says it is now working to identify the people in the recordings.
According to investigators, the pictures were shared with at least two other people.
Investigators say a witness who had seen the pictures notified law enforcement last week.
Martin turned himself into police at the Gloucester City Police Department Wednesday afternoon.
He resigned his position at the school on November 21st, investigators said.
