Patricia Fitzgibbon is a Red Cross volunteer. When she saw the destruction caused by superstorm Sandy on Staten Island, she decided to help its youngest victims.

Fitzgibbon and fellow volunteer Susan Sudovar are running a toy collection drive at the Warren-Tricome salon at The Plaza Hotel.

"We have about 500 gifts so far," Fitzgibbon told GDNY.

If you're interested in donating a toy, drop off your item at the Warren-Tricome Salon at the The Plaza hotel by Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at 10 a.m.

The Warren-Tricome salon is located at 1 West 58th Street, NYC, 2nd floor.
