Newark Police are investigating a home invasion where three men forced their way into an apartment and ordered three people to sit on the coach while they ransacked a bedroom.
According to police, the home invasion happened around 11 p.m. Thursday night in a home on the 300 block of east Main Street.
Police say a man knocked on the door of the home and asked for an 18-year-old resident by name. When one of the residents let the man in, police say two additional suspects rushed into the apartment.
The 18-year-old struggled with the suspects, but stopped once he saw one of them holding a handgun, police said.
Two residents and a visitor were ordered to sit on the couch while a suspect went through the bedroom of the apartment.
Police say the suspects left the home after taking an undisclosed amount of property.
The victims waited 30 minutes before calling police. Police say no one was injured.
