It's draft day for Bristol, Pennsylvania's Raymond Key.
The 10-year-old who is battling Leukemia now gets to sit side by side with the players, a dream come true.
He received a round of applause as Rider University's baseball team presented him with a jersey and hat.
"I love baseball. It's pretty cool, their baseball members and I get to learn from them, pretty cool," said Raymond.
Raymond was diagnosed in January of last year. He's undergoing chemotherapy, and takes a heavy dose of steroids and other medications.
Team Impact, a non-profit organization that pairs children with life threatening illnesses with college sports teams knew Raymond and Rider would be a great match.
"He's tougher than most of our guys, probably, he's handled more adversity, he has great character, loves baseball, it all seems to mesh and we're excited to be part of it," said Rider Coach Barry Davis.
In addition to his own jersey, Raymond also gets his own locker, a seat on the bench, travel privileges for away games, and a team of mentors who say he is the real inspiration.
"It means a lot, Ray looks forward to the games, hanging out in the dugout, it's very touching and these bracelets with his name on it, the team is wearing are wonderful," said his mom, Patty Ann Key.
It's been a tough year for Raymond but his attitude is very positive, just like when he's on the baseball field.
